The Bohemians Anthem

Words by John Dennehy
(Sung to the air of “The Harp that Once Through Tara’s Halls”)

Before our homeward way we take
We’ll sing this parting lay,
And drain a glas for friendship sake
To cheer us on our way.
And long may these Bohemians rare
Their cheerful course pursue,
And lose, while here, all thought of care
As they know how to do.

But though we part we’ll meet again
Old friendship to prolong
And sing once more a grand refrain
To close our feast of song,
And thus the “Bohs” their joys will share
With friends and guests like you,
And lose, while here, all thought of care
As they know how to do.
